About

Hello, I’m Chris,

I’m the founder of Whispering Wisdom, and I offer spaces for reflection, compassion, and gentle reconnection — with ourselves, with others, and with the living world around us.


My work is rooted in contemplative practice, mindfulness, and a long-standing interest in how inner wellbeing and our relationship with the natural world are deeply intertwined. I trained as a counsellor in the 1990s, worked for many years supporting children and families navigate challenge and trauma and have spent much of my adult life exploring Buddhist practice, compassion, and reflective inquiry.


More recently, I completed an MA in Ecology and Spirituality, which deepened my understanding of how practices such as journalling, mindfulness, and compassion can support us in navigating personal difficulty, uncertainty, and the wider challenges of our times.


Whispering Wisdom grew from a desire to offer something slower and kinder than much of what is available — spaces that invite listening rather than fixing, and presence rather than pressure. My courses and offerings are gentle, accessible, and grounded in everyday life. They are not about self-improvement or pushing through, but about meeting ourselves with curiosity, care, and honesty.


I believe that small, consistent practices — like contemplative journalling — can quietly transform how we relate to ourselves and the world. You are very welcome here, exactly as you are.
