Life can be messy, uncertain, or overwhelming — especially when you’re sensitive, soul-led, or simply trying to live in alignment with your values in a noisy world. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burned out, spiritually adrift, or simply longing for change, these mentoring sessions offer you a safe, grounded space to explore what really matters. A sanctuary - something we all need in these demanding times.

Who is this for?

These sessions are for people who:

  • Feel emotionally or spiritually disconnected and want to reconnect with themselves and with others

  • Are navigating life transitions, burnout, grief, or inner change

  • Feel anxious about climate change and want to live more authentically, soulfully, or in tune with nature

  • Are exploring spirituality, compassion, or contemplative practices

  • Long for a space to slow down, be heard, and be gently witnessed.

What happens in a Compassionate Mentoring session?

Every session is unique and tailored to your individual needs. The only formula is just mindful presence, deep listening, and gentle encouragement. Together, we might:

  • Reflect on where you are and what you’re facing

  • Explore stuck places with compassion and curiosity

  • Use mindfulness, breath, or body awareness to ground and support you or gentle enquiry to open up to new insights

  • Touch into the deeper values or longings beneath your questions

This is not therapy. It’s not coaching with action plans and deadlines (although we can work with action plans and targets, if that is what you would like to do). It’s a contemplative, heart-centred process rooted in kindness, clarity, and connection.

Your Mentor

Writer, mentor, and spiritual ecologist based in the north west of England, Chris holds a  degree in English Literature and an MA Ecology and Spirituality. Her research explored how Tibetan Buddhist compassion practice might be relevant to the challenges of the environmental crisis. After spending several years working at a Buddhist centre and training as a counsellor, she went on to work with vulnerable people of all ages  - work she has been involved with now for more than thirty years. Her work draws on compassion-based approaches to help people cultivate resilience, connection, and meaning during difficult times in their lives. With her background in mindfulness teaching and Buddhism, Chris brings a grounded, heartful presence to everything she offers. She brings warmth, humour, and a deep respect for the inner life and knows what it’s like to live with chronic illness and personal challenge.

  • Free fifteen-minute 'getting-to-know-you' session - book a free consultation to see whether this feels like a good fit for you - no pressure, no obligation and we won't be sending you fifteen emails a day to grind you down into booking a paid session!    

  • £45 per one-hour session

  • £170 for 4 one-hour sessions (paid in advance)

Sometimes the hardest step is simply making that first contact. This short call is a gentle space for us to meet, get a feel for one another, and explore what brings you to mentoring.

Compassionate Mentoring - One Hour

This is a spacious, dedicated hour for you to explore whatever is present — whether that’s a specific issue, an emotional tangle, a life transition, or an inner feeling that that something needs attention.

​

Our work together might include reflective conversation, guided inner enquiry, compassionate witnessing, or simple grounding practices — always at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no expectation to arrive with everything figured out; the session can unfold organically from where you are in the moment.

​

These sessions are not about ‘fixing’ you, but to create a kind, attuned space where you can explore your experiences, your feelings and your needs. It's a space of self-compassion. Over time, these sessions can help you develop insight, soften old patterns, and reconnect with your own clarity and strength.

Compassionate Mentoring - Four One Hour Sessions

These sessions can follow the format of the one hour sessions, or, alternatively, you can choose to work on:

 

  • A Self-Compassion Journey (four sessions) - This gentle series of four one-hour sessions helps you soften self-criticism, meet your feelings with kindness, and make friends with yourself.

  • Parenting with Compassion (four sessions) - this series of four one-hour sessions explores parenting struggles with care. It will help you cultivate compassionate listening, develop calmer responses, and strengthen the connection with yourself and your child.
